LAMBO’S

Okay, so I’ve been delinquent in getting pictures up of our new home, but I have reasons. First, I kind of want to wait until our kitchen counter top comes in and is installed. The kitchen is looking fine, but without a sink, cook-top, and countertop, it’s incomplete.

On a side note, for those who want to know, we’ve been using a portable electric grill to cook and the laundry rooms sink to do our dishes. Hard times, hard times wink

So on a side note I thought I’d write about my journey into work. Normally it was on the GO train to Union Station, followed by a 20-minute walk to the office. But lately, I’ve been taking the car into work, because of the long days I’ve been putting in. Things have returned to normalcy, however, so it’s hoped those long days are done.

Anyway, when I drive in, I take the Lakeshore exit off of the Gardiner coming into Toronto. I then turn north on Bathurst and get ready for my right on Front Street. When I take that turn, I take it real slow, And I turn my head to the left, look through the window of the showroom and drool over the three Lamborghini Murcielago LP640’s and the two Gallardo’s.

Those four seconds in the morning and again in the evening are priceless. Cars, for all intents and purposes are like the ultimate mistress for men. I have a selection of tastes when considering which mistress I’ll let my mind’s eye roam too. But as far as exotic sports cars go … the Lambo does it for me.

THINKING

  • Spending will make you happier, but not in the way you think. Interesting read over at Secular Philosophy.

  • When flying 35,000 feet above land, I stare down at the natural landscape and marvel at it ... and every time I fly over a city, town, etc. ... I can’t help but to think ... so this is what cancer looks like.

I know, it’s harsh, but have a look, cities and towns just don’t blend very well with the natural landscape.

  • According to this read over at Dailytech, the XBOX360 has a 33% failure rate! Like what?? Like how much? Like one in every three units will have hardware failure! I love my box ... and I’m touching wood it stays in with the other 66%.

  • Old news for some of you out there, but “Demon Days” by Gorillaz ... not bad eh? Not bad at all. Nice tunes on that list.

  • Yes it’s true .. i know Gorn and I also know ShoeGirl. Personally, I think he could have gone a lot more than 30 days.

  • A 16 year old girl proclaimed she is an atheist. The reporter asked her why and she promptly replied, “I was born that way.”

Interesting ... she’s right, you know.

CURRENTLY

  • Kingdom of Heaven

Kingdom Of Heaven: The story of Balian’s quest for redemption and his battles against those who seek power in it’s name. This is an excellent movie whose message is perhaps more important today than it was then.

  • The God Delusion : Richard Dawkins

Dawkins tackles it all in his no holds barred approach to whether God exists. The stance? The probability of it? Very unlikely.

  • Hopes and Fears : Keane

"Hopes and Fears” and “Under The Iron Sea” by Keane get constant play from my iTunes. Find out why their music is so good. After all they were the band that inspired Coldplay.

  • Gears Of War

As Marcus Fenix, you fight a war against the immense Locust Horde, which not only out powers but outnumbers you, your squad, and the entire force of the Coalition of Ordered Governments. Time to pull out the stops in a game that delivers the next-generation in tactical combat systems in Gears of War.
