MUSING ALONG
Sorry folks. I just got a little lazy with my effort to post. I’ve written out several posts, but when it came time to actually publishing them, I put it off. Main reason for that is I like to have pictures to go along with my posts. I feel it breaks up the diatribe better since some of the posts can get long … but no pics today (go figure).
Heh, hmm, let’s see not much new is going on, but I guess I could write about a slew of tidbits here and there:
The brick went up around our home. Besides some finishing and stonework (in the front), the exterior is just about complete. We have a frame-walk inspection coming up soon. Harp and I will have a few things to discuss; we did a lot of inspecting on our own this weekend.
Shopping for appliances can be a drag, unless of course, you happen to be married to a lady with good taste. I have to admit, the fridge and countertop range she’s been eyeing look pretty sweet, and totally fit the aesthetic of simplicity I covet.
The Little Man has an aura about him these days. Actually come to think of it, it’s been over the last month. He seems to be very confident in the things he does. He measures himself and when he sees that he is improving, it only gives him more incentive to see how he can get better.
What am I talking about? Well skating and hockey for one. In his class he was finishing about in the middle of the pack going forwards. Now, he’s consistently second or first. It’s amazing just how much “lifting your feet” will do for a child’s skating speed.
His stance is wide and low, giving him good balance. Going backwards? Good lord, I think this kid just might be a defenseman in the making. He’s finished and at the other end of the ice before the rest of the kids have passed the first blue line.
It’s hard for me to not show too much pride at his abilities. You see, in a class of mostly five and six year olds, The Little Man is only four. The instructors spend time talking to him while he’s out there on the ice. I find they do this with him more than the other kids. I get a little self conscious of this, and of the favoritism it might show.
We just want him to have fun out there and as long as he keeps having just that, and continues to express the desire to play, we’ll keep on bringing him.
Tiia … is a flirt. I’m going to have my hands full with this one. When she’s out she’s beaming a smile at anyone and everyone. This weekend she had on a pretty cute get up accentuated a by a nice red Canadiens scarf. Where she got the idea to wear that, I couldn’t tell you
... but I have to admire her taste.
The outfit seemed to get her a lot of attention while walking around at Sherway Gardens. We were there at the Apple store, picking up a copy of Leopard, Apple’s latest and much anticipated OS.
She’s taken to her little cousin brother Roenick. As Taaj is to Simrit, I have no doubts that Roe will be to Tiia.
There’s more to write, but I’ll save it for another post…

Kingdom Of Heaven: The story of Balian’s quest for redemption and his battles against those who seek power in it’s name. This is an excellent movie whose message is perhaps more important today than it was then.
Dawkins tackles it all in his no holds barred approach to whether God exists. The stance? The probability of it? Very unlikely.
"Hopes and Fears” and “Under The Iron Sea” by Keane get constant play from my iTunes. Find out why their music is so good. After all they were the band that inspired Coldplay.
As Marcus Fenix, you fight a war against the immense Locust Horde, which not only out powers but outnumbers you, your squad, and the entire force of the Coalition of Ordered Governments. Time to pull out the stops in a game that delivers the next-generation in tactical combat systems in Gears of War.
