NIVBITS
Continuing on from the previous post, I offer some more nivbits. What … nivbits? Yeah, you know, sort of like timbits, but you don’t eat them. Nivbits are mind spasms I throw your way.
What you do with a nivbit is entirely up to you. You can disregard a nivbit, that’s rare though. You could let your mind digest a nivbit, happens all the time. You could worship each and every day you receive a nivbit, hey it could happen you know … I’ve seen it.

Freebird, by Lynard Skynard, has given me a new appreciation for the guitar. This is largely due to the track in Guitar Hero II, but after hearing the original, I love the song and l love the guitar more.
~
On another note, The Little Man loves Guitar Hero’s version of Killing in The Name, by Rage Against The Machine … umm, have you heard the original?? Let’s just say I won’t be playing that tune regularly.
~
There’s something endearing, yet mildly concerning, about watching a four-year old tyke bang his head as he air guitars to rock tunes. There’s something more endearing and even more concerning, about having his 18-month-old sister join in with him. Oh, it gets worse … try throwing Bhangra, Hip-hop, and Classical in that mix … that is some crazy masala.
~
Richard Ashcroft, to me anyway, has a sound I don’t tire of. Yeah, that’s right, let’s break the night with colour.
~
Boston Red Sox … they did it again. What can I say? Must be the colour of those socks … must be.

I find that using the names of songs is great for your MSN Messenger tag. Two reasons why. One, you just pick a song, you don’t have to think about it. And two, eventually friends and family abroad will msn you the name of the group that the song was originally performed by.
No “hello” or a “how are you doing?” just the artist(s). Any attempt to continue the conversation after is met with white blank space silence. At least they look forward to your next song posting.
~
Most of these nivbits were about music … nivbits have a way of congregating like that.

Spending will make you happier, but not in the way you think. Interesting read over at Secular Philosophy.

Chrisopher Hitchens nails it yet again with this piece for Slate Magazine. After reading the piece, I’m inclined to agree with a lot of it.

When flying 35,000 feet above land, I stare down at the natural landscape and marvel at it ... and every time I fly over a city, town, etc. ... I can’t help but to think ... so this is what cancer looks like.
I know, it’s harsh, but have a look, cities and towns just don’t blend very well with the natural landscape.

According to this read over at Dailytech, the XBOX360 has a 33% failure rate! Like what?? Like how much? Like one in every three units will have hardware failure! I love my box ... and I’m touching wood it stays in with the other 66%.

Old news for some of you out there, but “Demon Days” by Gorillaz ... not bad eh? Not bad at all. Nice tunes on that list.

A 16 year old girl proclaimed she is an atheist. The reporter asked her why and she promptly replied, “I was born that way.”
Interesting ... she’s right, you know.

CURRENTLY
Kingdom Of Heaven: The story of Balian’s quest for redemption and his battles against those who seek power in it’s name. This is an excellent movie whose message is perhaps more important today than it was then.
Dawkins tackles it all in his no holds barred approach to whether God exists. The stance? The probability of it? Very unlikely.
"Hopes and Fears” and “Under The Iron Sea” by Keane get constant play from my iTunes. Find out why their music is so good. After all they were the band that inspired Coldplay.
As Marcus Fenix, you fight a war against the immense Locust Horde, which not only out powers but outnumbers you, your squad, and the entire force of the Coalition of Ordered Governments. Time to pull out the stops in a game that delivers the next-generation in tactical combat systems in Gears of War.
